TRAITS OF THE TRIBE

"My favorite spot on the WHS campus is..."

"...Mrs. Lynch’s room during 5th period because some of my favorite people are there, and we all just goof around and almost forget we’re at school but get the job done as we create the school newspaper!" - Angel (Senior)

"...the bridge because it is very inviting and a great place to start the day." - Karina (Sophomore)

"...the tables under the trees." - Ms. Fagan Simpson (Counselor)

"...the choir room because everyone is welcome." - Anagha (Senior)

"...the bridge every morning because Kelman is there to start off the day with a high-five." - Emily (Freshman)

"...the tennis courts because I play there." - Emma (Sophomore)

"...the band room because I love music, and I actually like learning in that class." - Minsoo (Senior)

"...the football stadium because that's where the Warrior community unites and truly becomes one tribe - Sophia (Freshman)

"...the bridge because it looks really natural, and I love the sound the trees make when it rains." - Kassondra (Sophomore)

"...the student lot because it means I'm going home." - Leah (Senior)

"...the Wigwam because my dad helped create that name when I was the ASG Advisor.  I have many happy memories of lunchtime activities such as voting, playing music and meeting new students there." - Señora Rudas (Teacher)

"...the amphitheater because there are always fun activities happening and music playing." - Lili (Sophomore)

"...the History Center because it's where I discovered my passion." - Lauryn (Senior)

"...the quad because at nutrition there are always people to talk to." - Isaiah (Junior)

"...the football field because it's where I was crowned (Homecoming King)." - Max (Senior)

"...the third floor because it was a great place to study last year during CPT." - Megan (Sophomore)

"...the tennis courts because it's where I made most of my friends." - Sam (Senior)

"...the bridge because while it literally connects us to the rest of the community, it is also a powerful symbol of what sets us apart.  A high school with a bridge?  It's extraordinary.  Every day when I cross the bridge I'm struck by how beautiful our campus is, and how fortunate we all are to be a part of something special.  Education is the great work of human progress, and public schools should be palatial.  They should be full of life and energy, and opportunities for growth and genuine adventure.  When I cross the bridge, I feel like I belong to something that really matters." - Mr. Freed (Teacher)

GO WARRIORS!
